Announcements

Pre-Release Window Update

Prior to this release, pre-release was available for 6 weeks after general availability of a new version. Starting with 25R3, pre-release will remain available for four weeks after general availability of a new version. Therefore, the pre-release vaults will now be available to customers four weeks prior to general availability and remain available up to four weeks after a general release. This change applies to EDC & CDB pre-release.

Multi-Vault Selector

When working in multiple Vaults (e.g. EDC and CTMS), a user’s session, prior to this release, would be invalidated when navigating to a different Vault in another tab, forcing that user to reauthenticate and potentially lose their work.

With this release, Vault sessions will now remain active in all tabs when using the Vault Selector to change Vaults within a tab or window. This behavior also applies to opening another Vault in a new tab or window by right clicking a Vault in the Vault Selector or the My Vaults page.

Item Groups & Items Created Concurrently with Forms

Previously, item records were only created when data was first auto-saved on the form. With this release, we’ve enhanced the creation of item groups and items to be concurrent with form creation. This feature will be available for Early Adopters in 25R3, and it will be rolled out to all vaults in a future release.

With this feature, we are solving a reporting issue where SDV and DMR were being marked as complete at an event where not all items were created. Creation timestamps in the audit trail for items, events, forms, and change reasons for items with default data will now be the same, as they will be created at the same time.

Note that for number item types with rules that have “Blank Handling” set to “AS ZERO”, the item value will be considered as zero after the form and item are created. Some IsBlank rules will now evaluate to False when this feature is enabled.

RIA Feature Enablement Changes

With this release, we’ve added the following enablement value options to the Enablement column in the RIA: Early Adopter and Phased Release. Features that are only available for early adopters will be marked as such in the enablement column. Phased Release enablement refers to features that will be enabled in phases across customers after the general release.
