About the 26R1 Release

26R1 Wave 1 Pre-release Begins

26R1 Release, Wave 1

  • 26R1 released to pre-release (VV1-37) and limited release (VV1-17) vaults
  • 26R1 released to EU pre-release (VV2-2152) vaults
  • 26R1 released to Wave 1 release (VLT-1216) vaults

26R1 Release, Wave 2

  • 26R1 released to all general release vaults
  • Updated training available on Veeva Learning

26R1 Pre-Release Ends

Release Waves

For the general release, Wave 1 and Wave 2 releases occur 1-2 weeks apart (2 weeks for the R3 release). We release the 26R1 to the Wave 1 release POD (VLT-1216) during Wave 1 (April 10, 2026). This occurs 1 week before the general release (Wave 2). Then, we release the 26R1 to the remaining general release PODs during Wave 2.

Admin users can confirm which POD their vaults are on from Admin > Settings > General Settings.

Release Information

  • 26R1 Release Impact Assessment (Published February 23) analyzes the impact of new features. New versions will be published on Tuesdays and Thursdays if changes to the previous version have occurred.
  • 26R1 Migration Vault Release Impact Assessment (Published February 23) analyzes the impact of new features.
  • 26R1 Supplemental Vault Release Impact Assessment(Available February 27) lists Vault Platform features in the 26R1 release that can impact EDC or CDB customers.
  • 26R1 Fixed Issues (Available April 10) documents issues that affected previous versions or pre-release and are fixed in 26R1.
  • 26R1 Known Issues (Available April 10) documents issues introduced in 26R1 which are not yet fixed.
  • 26R1 Maintenance Releases (Available with first maintenance release) documents fixes for issues that are affecting customers in production environments.

Retirement of the Data Export Job

The Data Export job will be retired as of the 26R2 release.

Veeva Connect Communities

Release-related updates will be posted to Veeva Connect, a central hub for product information and a place to ask questions and share knowledge about Veeva products. Product information provided on Veeva Connect includes general release communications, release highlights, and key feature demos.
