Supported Browsers & Settings
We test the following browsers to ensure that all features of Vault work well. Vault may work with other browsers, but we recommend that you use one of the following:
|Microsoft® Edge, current stable version||To avoid potential login or password reset related issues, Veeva recommends adding Vault (*.veevavault.com and *.veeva.com) to Edge's trusted sites list.|
|Microsoft® Internet Explorer™ version 11||If you use Internet Explorer™, Veeva recommends using the latest version and applying all Microsoft® hotfixes. We also suggest adding Vault (*.veevavault.com and *.veeva.com) to your browser's trusted sites list to avoid potential login or password reset related issues.|
|Mozilla® Firefox®, current stable version||Veeva makes every effort to test and support the most recent version of Firefox® on Windows™.|
|Apple® Safari® version 5.x and later||Veeva supports Safari® on Macs®.|
|Apple® Mobile Safari® on iOS 7.x and later||Veeva supports Mobile Safari® on iPad (iOS 7.x and later) with reduced functionality.|
|Google Chrome™, current stable version||Veeva makes every effort to test and support the most recent version of Chrome™ on Windows™. Newer versions of Chrome™ have limited Java® applet support, meaning that they are not compatible with the Enhanced Checkout and pre-V13 Export Binder features. Note that Chrome™ may apply updates automatically.|
Known Issues by Browser
In some versions of Google Chrome™, task completion windows may appear scrambled or dotted with small squares. This is an issue in the browser itself, not Vault. You can work around the issue by dragging the window within your screen, or by using another browser.
Users are not able to submit data collection forms in Vault EDC that have checkbox or radio button controls. We recommend using a different browser when entering data.
Cookies & TLS
For all browsers, you must enable cookies and TLS v1.0+ for Vault to function properly.
Internet Explorer™ Support
Versions 8, 9 & 10
Microsoft® stopped supporting Internet Explorer™ 8, Internet Explorer™ 9, and Internet Explorer™ 10 in January 2016 and recommended that customers migrate to a supported operating system and browser by January 12, 2016. Beginning with the release of Vault V15 (mid-August 2016) we no longer support Internet Explorer™ 8, 9, or 10. Users accessing Vault with those browsers may have trouble using certain features, and eventually the application may stop working entirely.
Starting with the Vault V9 release (July 2014), we no longer support Internet Explorer™ 7. At this time, users accessing Vault with this browser may have trouble using certain features, and eventually the application may stop working entirely.
As a web application, we need to make use of new capabilities available in modern browsers. Older browsers like Internet Explorer™ version 7 lack support for the HTML5 features needed to provide you with the highest quality experience (even version 8 has limited HTML5 support when compared with version 9, Chrome™, Firefox®, and Safari®).
Most Vault EDC functionality works using Mobile Safari® on iPad®. However, certain functionality is not supported:

We recommend that you use a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 or higher. Using the “zoom” feature in your browser can cause display issues with page layouts and positioning.
