Veeva EDC & DQS POD Details

POD stands for “point of delivery”. In simple terms, it is the application server that hosts your Veeva Clinical Data Vault. Veeva PODs are located in data centers on the East Coast and West Coast of the US, in Japan, and in Germany. Veeva POD names indicate the geographical location of the POD; VV1 indicates the US, VV2 indicates Europe, and VV3 indicates Asia-Pacific.

Vault owners can confirm which POD their Veeva EDC Vaults are on from Admin > Settings > About.

POD Details

AWS EDC PODs have an ID with two numbers (VV1-17, VV2-37, etc.). The first number indicates the region: 1 for the US, 2 for Europe, 3 for Asia-Pacific. All DQS PODs are prefixed with “CDB”.
